A mobile advertising identifier is a unique, pseudonymous, alphanumeric identifier that a device manufacturer assigns to a mobile device. Mobile advertising identifiers help advertisers personalize the advertisements they send to consumers. If you have an Android device, you can find your mobile advertising identifier by opening the Google Settings app and clicking on “Ads”. Your advertising identifier will be listed at the bottom of the screen. If you have an Apple device, the advertising identifier is hidden by default, but can be accessed using a third-party app. There are several free apps available on the Apple App Store that allow you to determine your device’s advertising identifier.
