Understanding and Connecting with Americans
The killing of George Floyd has sparked necessary conversation and conflict across the country. As national-scale protests take center stage it is vital that we connect and understand Americans – what they are going through, what they need, and how they feel.
When history looks back on 2020, several themes will stand out: the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, the United States presidential election cycle, and the complicated saga of racial justice in the U.S. that reignited on May 25th with the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police. Since that time, many other high-profile situations related to race and equality have occurred across the country, and along the way Big Village Insights’ CARAVAN Surveys Team has been there to measure the response of the American public.
The findings released today unveil Americans’ views on where we are, the willingness to activate, and opinions on political and government actions. This is an important time in our country and Big Village is proud to bring American voices to the conversation. These Online CARAVAN® omnibus surveys were conducted June 3-5, June 10-12, June 22-24, July 29-31, and September 9-11, 2020. Approximately 1000 adults selected from opt-in panels were surveyed. The results are also weighted to U.S. Census data to be demographically representative.
