America’s Response to Racial Injustice: Accountability

April 23, 2021

Understanding and Connecting with Americans

The conviction of Derek Chauvin for the killing of George Floyd has left many Americans feeling hopeful that change to our country’s racial injustice issues may finally be coming. At the same time, many feel there is still a long way to go to address issues related to accountability of police officers in this country.

The findings released today unveil Americans’ views on where we are, the willingness to activate, and opinions on policing. This is an important time in our country and Big Village is proud to bring American voices to the conversation. This Online CARAVAN® omnibus survey was conducted April 21-23, 2021. Approximately 1000 adults selected from opt-in panels were surveyed. The results are also weighted to U.S. Census data to be demographically representative.

Methodology

This Online CARAVAN® omnibus survey was conducted by Big Village INSIGHTS among a representative sample of 1,004 adults 18 years of age and older (485 men and 519 women). This survey was live on April 12-14, 2021.
