Generative AI continues to be a major topic in 2024. Following up from our initial survey in November 2023, using the International research capabilities of CARAVAN, we took an updated look at how 12 major countries around the world feel about Generative AI.
Focusing on government standards & oversight, over half of respondents in each country expressed interest in seeing governments implement greater standards and oversight into AI/Gen AI tools/apps, with strongest interest expressed in India and China. These numbers are trending up in most countries. Exceptions: India is unchanged at 85%. In the U.S., interest in such action is actually trending down.

Methodology
This CARAVAN survey was conducted by Big Village among a total sample of 11,363 adults between the ages of 18-64 in Brazil, China, India, Japan, Mexico, and South Korea and 18 years of age or older in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This survey was live on February 9-14, 2024.
