Celebrating National Career Development Month with a Career Development Takeover
Spark is an ongoing Talent Development initiative with a mission to help all Big Village employees ignite their professional passion through the development resources and opportunities we offer. We hope to keep our employees invigorated and engaged by helping them become more skilled at their jobs and more focused on their strengths and passions. This past November, we celebrated National Career Development Month* with our first ever Career Development Takeover!
Career development is more than attending trainings and workshops—it’s a long-term personal and professional journey to success. We recognize that our employees are going to strive to evolve in their careers overtime as they grow and change in and outside of work. Throughout the Career Development Takeover, we partnered with our employees to help them discover their professional passions with a more personalized approach. We shared out a plethora of valuable resources and individualized coaching:
- 10+ customized LinkedIn Learning Paths that focus on topics such as “Communicating with Impact,” “Leading with Empathy,” and “Telling Impactful Stories.”
- A “LinkedIn Learning Hacks” session to help Big Village employees take their learning engagement and accessibility to the next level. They learn how to find on-demand content and tailor it to their personal development needs.
- 1:1 personalized Strengths Coaching sessions were open for registration. Through these sessions, Big Village employees had the opportunity to meet with a certified coach to engage in a 1:1 discussion around their career goals, performance, strengths, and passions.
Last but not least, we wrapped up the month by celebrating OUR EMPLOYEES. We shared an inspiring video where seven of our very own Big Village employees across different parts of our business shared their stories on their career development journey. They talked about how they proactively explored growth opportunities within Big Village and worked with their mentors and managers to take their careers to the next level.
